BAND

The band offers cadets with previous musical experience in a school program, an opportunity to further develop and perfect their skills with their instrument and play in a military band.  The band will compete against other cadet corps, measuring musical skill, marching and cohesiveness as a unit as well as overall appearance.  The band is an important part of cadet parades where they are responsible for keeping the marching parade in-step and performing traditional military music.  The band performs at the Commanding Officer parades, Remembrance Day, Legion events, Annual Ceremonial Review, and other parades/events as necessary.  The following types of players are required: brass (trumpet, cornet, horn, trombone, baritone, tuba), woodwinds (flute, clarinet, alto, tenor and baritone saxophone) and percussion (snare, bass drum, bells, cymbals).
