Queen's York Rangers 2799 Army Cadet Corps The Canadian Cadet Organization is a youth program of Sea, Army and Air Cadets with over 52,000 members across Canada. Membership is open to teens of all backgrounds age 12-18. Cadets teaches leadership, citizenship, self-reliance, physical fitness, respect for others, and a multitude of valuable life skills. IMPORTANT UPDATES/REMINDERS!
Duke of Edinburgh International Award
Central Ontario Area will be accepting applications for 200 cadets to register for the Bronze Level Duke of Edinburgh International Award program. This is a civilian award that can be completed by ALL youth ages 14-24. Check out the Duke of Edinburgh website, as well as these documents (DoE Bronze Level and DoE At A Glance) for more information. Applications are not yet open at this time. If you have any questions speak with OCdt Kasper D.

Cadet Activity Program (CAP)
The March break CAP is now being moved to 12-16 April 2021. This program is open to ALL cadets. Cadets will need to create a CCO Account to participate. Cadets will complete task and challenges at-home asynchronously. Cadets who complete the CAP can earn a medal based on number of challenges completed. Joining Instructions will be posted shortly. |

2021 Summer Training applications are now being accepted. For more information see the Summer Training page.
NEW CADETS
New cadets wishing to register with 2799 Queen's York Rangers, please be advised that at this time we are NOT parading in-person on Friday nights. We will continue with virtual training until we can safely resume in-person (face-to-face) training. New cadets can begin their registration online by visiting the ENROLLMENT PAGE and contacting us at 2799army@cadets.gc.ca if you have any questions or to email your completed forms.

Virtual Training
ARRIVAL TIME: 18:50 | DISMISSAL TIME: 21:30
LOCATION: Zoom Virtual
Opening/closing parade as well as all classes will be held virtually using Zoom at this time. Cadets are to arrive 5-10min prior to Opening parade so we can start on time.
Mar 19 will be a virtual fitness night. Cadets WILL need to be on camera and will need space to conduct the Cadet Fitness Assessment, except for the Shuttle run, which will not be tested. For more information about the Fitness Assessment see the Fitness page
